Infinity Koi Pond
Meet at the Infinity Koi Pond in Hokulani at 8:00am to grab a coffee, and join in on the daily feeding of the koi. Feel free to bring your children as they love to feed the colorful fish. However please do not throw coins in the pond as the koi will try to eat them.
In Japanese, the word “koi” is translated from the word “nishikigoi”, which means brocaded carp. This includes the ornamental varieties with colorful scales and are used in our outdoor water gardens and ponds for decorative purposes. Another translation of the word “koi” in Japanese means affection, love or friendship. The koi fish are often known to be symbols of love, friendship and luck.
The more time we spend watching our koi, the more we notice they each have their own unique personality and traits. Certain varieties of koi can live as long as humans when maintained in the right conditions.
